My Mother-In-Law Is The Greatest

Times have been tough for my family ever since I lost my job 2 months ago. We have been scraping by on the few bucks I was given as a severance for losing my job to outsourcing but that ran out already. Now I am working to get unemployment benefits and food stamps while I look for another job. So far I have not had much luck but then again I have not been looking for long because I had other issues I had to take care of before I could look for work such as fixing my license and clearing a warrant I had for failing to go to court for a ticket because I messed up the dates. I cleared the warrant issue but can’t fix my license till I pay some old parking tickets from New Jersey from 18 years ago. Amazing the things that come back to haunt you. I can only hope my kids learn from my teenage mistakes but I digress.

Thankfully my mother-in-law has been here to help us. She has bought food for us, helped us pay some bills and even helped my wife get her license back because hers was suspended too due to lack of insurance on our car. Goes to show how easy your world turns upside-down when you don’t have money. I am thankful she was able and willing to help us. My mom is not financially able to help and I have no one else that would have been able to go out of their way to help me and my family.

I hope my 3 boys appreciate the sacrifices she has made for them, for us. I plan to make it up to her as soon as I have the chance. I have always given her money from my tax return, this time I will give her more because she deserves it. Thank you Juanita for being there for us. You are awesome. By the way, that’s my sister-in-law next to her on the left who is also pretty awesome.
